AEM's Air Intake Systems were developed through their extensive experience in dyno testing and understanding of intake energy dynamics, as well as their involvement in the tuner movement and proximity to Nissan, TRD, and Honda. This unique position allowed them to work extensively with racers and OES engineers, gaining valuable insight into both the practical and theoretical aspects of engine performance. In 1994, AEM's first air intake kit was released as a "Do-It-Yourself" upgrade for the Honda CRX, marking the beginning of a tradition of making affordable cars more powerful through modifications. AEM continues to lead the industry with hundreds of precision tuned induction systems, solidifying their position as the top competitor since the Battle of the Imports.
