For EP3 Chassis the only extra work that is needed will be to retrofit the original cable gromment onto thew new HR cables. The OEM cable that controls the right\/left motion of the shifter has been upgraded from a plastic twist-lock bushing to aluminum bushings and spring clip. This aluminum bushing simplifies installation a bit, but more importantly, it gets rid of yet another plastic part that tends to flex on the OEM cables, leading to a sloppy feeling shift. The extra spring clip that you will need to install the Hybrid Racing cables is included with the cables, so you will not need to buy any other parts. It is possible that more transmission noise and vibration will be transmitted into the cabin. Being that the Civic has a ton of interior panels and a deep console, it is minimal, but keep in mind it may not be as quiet as stock parts. What is included with these shifter cables? The kit comes with two shifter cables; each shifter cable set includes two cotter pins and clips for the shifter end. We also include new hardware for the shifter cable mounting plates that attach to the transmission bracket. You will reuse your OEM center bracket and cable seal.\n\nBe aware that 06 model years use a different bushing than 07+ models.
