Civic Type R FK8 Oil Catch Can Kit (2017-2019)

Blow by is one of performance Engine's worst enemy.

So what exactly is "Blow by" ??

During engine combustion, the pressure on top of the piston pushes combustion along with oil and fuel passing the piston rings into the crank case, this is known as "Blow by", also known as positive crankcase pressure.

In order to prevent the crankcase to become pressurized, causing issues such as oil sealing and losing horsepower, the factory PCV system also known as the "positive crankcase ventilation pulls the blow by from the crankcase and redirect back it into the the engine via your intake, overtime having oil and fuel coated your intake or intake manifold isn't exactly ideal as it can hurt your engine in the long run. In force induction application, it can even coat the inside of your intercooler and affect its ability to cool the intake charge.

So the solution to the problem is to install an oil catch can and stop oil fuel to redirect back into your engine.
