The aFe CONTROL Rear Sway Bar is a three-way adjustable handling upgrade for the 2022–2026 Toyota Tundra with the 3.4L twin-turbo V6. Its 32 mm solid-steel construction increases rear roll stiffness to help reduce body roll, sharpen steering response, and improve stability during cornering, towing, and payload use.
Three end-link mounting positions allow the driver to select the desired rear roll resistance. The soft setting is suitable for an empty bed and everyday driving, while the firmer settings can provide additional roll control when towing, carrying a payload, or using a loaded bed rack.

This kit reuses the factory rear sway-bar end links and related OE mounting nuts. Confirm that the vehicle has the applicable factory end links and mounting provisions before ordering.
Adjustable Sway Bar Settings
- Soft setting: 172 pounds per inch — approximately 70% stiffer than stock
- Medium setting: 187 pounds per inch — approximately 85% stiffer than stock
- Firm setting: 207 pounds per inch — approximately 105% stiffer than stock
The mounting hole closest to the end of the sway bar provides the softest setting. The middle hole provides the medium setting, and the hole furthest from the end provides the firmest setting.
aFe recommends the soft position for an empty bed or driving without a trailer. The firm position is its suggested setting for towing, payload use, or a bed rack carrying storage equipment. Individual handling preferences and vehicle configurations may vary.
Recommended Use
Recommended for Tundra owners seeking reduced body roll and greater rear suspension control during daily driving, highway travel, towing, hauling, or cornering. The adjustable design allows the handling balance to be changed as vehicle use and load conditions change.
A stiffer sway-bar setting can affect the truck’s handling balance and may reduce rear suspension articulation in some off-road conditions. Begin with the soft setting and evaluate vehicle behavior before moving to a firmer position.

Factory rear sway-bar end links, factory mounting nuts, thread-locking compound, and installation tools are not included.
Installation
aFe estimates approximately two hours for installation. The factory rear sway bar and a section of the exhaust must be removed according to the supplied instructions. The factory end links and mounting hardware are retained for reuse.
Lubricate the inside surfaces of the polyurethane bushings with the supplied silicone grease before installation. Install the brackets, spacers, sway bar, and factory end links in the specified orientation, then tighten all fasteners according to aFe and Toyota procedures.
After installation, verify exhaust, suspension, brake-line, and underbody clearance. Confirm that all fasteners remain secure after the initial road test and periodically lubricate the bushings through the bracket grease fittings as needed.
