Installation
Clean and inspect the receiving threads before installation. Use the broached end and an appropriately sized tool to position the stud without damaging its external threads. Do not clamp the threaded sections with pliers or locking tools.
Install the stud to the depth required by the intended assembly and follow the component manufacturer’s lubrication, thread-sealing, tightening, and torque procedures. ARP does not provide a universal torque specification for this individual stud because the correct procedure depends on the application, nut, lubricant, thread engagement, and clamped components.
