The ARP Chevrolet Pressure Plate Bolt Kit provides the high-strength fasteners needed to secure a compatible clutch pressure plate, also called a clutch cover, to the flywheel. It is designed for select Chevrolet Small Block and Big Block V8 applications using six 3/8"-16 pressure plate bolts.
The kit contains six hex-head chromoly bolts and matching washers. Each bolt has a 1-inch under-head length and a conventional 9/16-inch hex head for installation with commonly available hand tools.

Recommended Use
Recommended when installing or replacing a compatible clutch pressure plate on a Chevrolet Small Block or Big Block V8 engine. The kit is suitable for street-performance, restoration, racing, and drivetrain service applications requiring the specified fastener dimensions.
This is a pressure plate or clutch-cover bolt kit. It does not replace the separate flywheel-to-crankshaft bolts.

Installation
Inspect and clean the pressure plate and flywheel mounting threads before assembly. Position the clutch disc using an appropriate alignment tool, then install the pressure plate and start every bolt by hand to prevent cross-threading.
Tighten the bolts gradually in an alternating or crisscross sequence so the pressure plate seats evenly. ARP specifies 45 ft-lbs for a 3/8-inch pressure plate bolt when ARP lubricant is applied. Follow the instructions supplied with the fasteners and confirm that this value is appropriate for the pressure plate and flywheel being used.
Do not substitute these bolts for flywheel-to-crankshaft fasteners. Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with clutch assembly or drivetrain service.
