ARP GM M10 4.470-Inch 12-Point Stainless Starter Bolt Kit

The ARP GM Starter Bolt Kit contains two equal-length M10 mounting bolts for compatible Chevrolet and General Motors starter installations. Each bolt features a 4.470-inch under-head length, a compact 1/2-inch 12-point head, and polished stainless-steel construction.

This kit fit a broad range of Chevrolet four-cylinder, six-cylinder, Small Block, Big Block, LS, and LT engine applications. However, starter mounting hardware can vary according to the engine block, starter housing, mounting pattern, flywheel or flexplate, and aftermarket starter design. Installation

Disconnect the vehicle battery before removing or servicing the starter. Inspect the starter mounting pad, engine-block threads, starter nose, and original mounting hardware before installation.

Start both bolts by hand and verify that they engage the correct threads without binding or bottoming in the block. The starter should seat squarely against the mounting surface without being pulled into position by the bolts.

Use the torque specification provided by the engine or starter manufacturer for the exact installation. ARP does not publish a product-specific installation sheet for this kit. After installation, verify proper starter alignment and pinion-to-ring-gear clearance. Incorrect alignment can cause starter noise, engagement problems, or damage to the starter and ring gear.
