The ARP Universal Broached Stud is a high-strength replacement fastener featuring 3/8-16 coarse threads on one end and 3/8-24 fine threads on the opposite end. Installation
Clean and inspect the mating threads before installation. Verify that the coarse-thread end has adequate engagement without bottoming out in a blind hole. Install the stud only to the depth required by the component manufacturer.
The broached recess is intended to assist with positioning, installation and removal. It should not be used to apply the final clamping torque. Final preload is created by tightening the nut on the 3/8-24 fine-thread end.
No universal torque specification applies because the correct torque depends on the nut, washer, lubricant, thread engagement, mating materials and intended application. Follow the equipment or component manufacturer’s torque procedure.
