Brembo Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor – Select Audi and Volkswagen Models – A00492

Restore proper brake-pad wear monitoring with the Brembo A00492 front brake pad wear sensor.

This electronic wear indicator monitors the remaining friction material on a compatible front brake pad. When the pad wears to its minimum service level, the sensor circuit triggers the vehicle’s brake-pad warning system to alert the driver that brake service is required.

Brembo had manufactured this sensor as an OE-equivalent replacement with the correct connector and cable configuration for the listed applications below. It is recommended to replace the wear sensor whenever the corresponding brake pads are replaced because the sensor may be damaged or consumed as the old pads reach their wear limit.

This sensor measures 170mm in length and installs on the right side of the front axle for compatible applications.

Installation Note
