Recommended Use

Recommended when the original rubber cush-drive dampers are hardened, cracked, compressed, loose, or allowing excessive movement between the rear wheel and sprocket carrier. Possible signs of worn dampers may include:

Installation

Rear-wheel and sprocket-carrier removal is required. Follow the motorcycle manufacturer’s service procedure for safely supporting the motorcycle, removing the rear wheel, and reinstalling and adjusting the drive chain.

Remove all six original cush-drive dampers and clean the damper pockets before installing the polyurethane replacements. Inspect the sprocket carrier, wheel pockets, bearings, seals, axle, spacers, chain, and sprockets for excessive wear or damage.

Make certain the dampers and sprocket carrier are fully seated before reinstalling the rear wheel. Tighten the axle and related hardware to the motorcycle manufacturer’s specifications, adjust chain slack, and verify correct rear-wheel alignment before riding.
