Installation
Timing belt installation should be performed according to the appropriate Nissan factory service procedure for the engine being serviced.
Inspect the timing belt tensioner, idler pulleys, water pump, camshaft seals, crankshaft seal, and related timing components while the timing system is disassembled.
Correct crankshaft and camshaft alignment is critical. After installation, rotate the engine manually and verify all timing marks before starting the engine.
