Factory EDC Compatibility
These lowering springs retain the original electronically controlled dampers. The kit does not remove, bypass, or electronically disable the factory EDC system.
The original dampers, mounts, bearings, isolators, and bump stops should be inspected during installation. Any worn or damaged components must be replaced separately.
Wheel and Tire Clearance
Lowering changes suspension position and available wheel-and-tire clearance.
Vehicles fitted with non-original wheels, aggressive offsets, wheel spacers, oversized tires, or other suspension modifications should be checked carefully for clearance. Confirm adequate room around the tires, fenders, suspension components, and brake hoses throughout the complete steering and suspension range.
Installation Note
Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Spring replacement requires suspension disassembly and appropriate spring-compression equipment. Follow H&R and BMW installation procedures and confirm that each spring is correctly seated before lowering the vehicle.
A four-wheel alignment should be performed immediately after installation. The vehicle’s driver-assistance systems, headlights, and related sensors may also require inspection or recalibration after the ride height is changed.
