This package contains four NGK FR6AHX-S Ruthenium HX high-ignitability spark plugs. Designed for compatible modern ignition systems, each plug combines a 0.6 mm ruthenium center electrode with an opposed fine-wire platinum ground electrode.

The Double Fine Electrode design concentrates the spark to support efficient ignition across a wide range of operating conditions. NGK’s ruthenium alloy technology provides durability at high temperatures, while the platinum ground-electrode tip is designed to promote a complete fuel burn, responsive throttle operation, smooth idle quality, and reliable cold starting.

Installation

Confirm the engine designation before installation. NGK lists a 0.052-inch application gap for the B18C1 and a 0.044-inch application gap for the B18C5. Although FR6AHX-S plugs are supplied with a 0.044-inch factory pre-gap, the required installed gap depends on the application.  Please check installation gap on NGK Parts Finder

Inspect each gap before installation and adjust it carefully when required. Avoid applying force directly against the fine-wire center electrode or platinum-tipped ground electrode. NGK notes that factory-pre-gapped plugs may require adjustment for the intended vehicle.

Install the plugs into a cool engine and tighten them according to the Acura service procedure and specified torque value. Improper adjustment, cross-threading, or excessive tightening can damage the spark plug or cylinder head.
