Installation
Confirm the specified plug number and gap for the exact engine before installation. Although the plugs are supplied with a nominal 1.1 mm gap, inspect each plug before installation because handling and shipping can alter the gap.
Use a wire-style gap gauge and avoid applying force directly to the fine-wire iridium center electrode. Start each plug by hand to prevent cross-threading, then tighten it according to the vehicle manufacturer’s procedure and torque specification. Install only when the cylinder head is cool unless the service procedure states otherwise.
