If you have purchased your engine and transmission separately, chances are that this flywheel cover was not include with the transmission, this plate is also known as the flywheel inspection plate, it is an important cover to prevent debris from going into your flywheel/clutch housing.
Another scenario where you would use this is when you are converting your OEM K-series aluminum oil pan into a steel pan by using an oil pan from an EP3 or RSX base model.
Unlike the K-series Steel Oil Pan, the K-series aluminum oil pan has a flywheel cover already integrated into the oil pan.
