Installation

Inspect the rear rotors, calipers, parking-brake components and brake fluid before installation. Follow Toyota’s approved procedure for releasing and servicing the rear parking-brake system before compressing the caliper pistons. Do not force a piston or parking-brake mechanism. Tighten all components according to Toyota’s specified installation procedures and torque values.

After installation, PowerStop recommends five moderate-to-aggressive stops from 40 mph to 10 mph, followed by five moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph without allowing the brakes to cool between stops. Avoid remaining completely stopped with the brake pedal applied while the brakes are hot, then drive for approximately five minutes to allow them to cool. Never cool hot brakes with water.
