The Turbosmart TS-0554-1242 GenV ProGate50 CG/CO2 HP Full Range is a 50mm external wastegate engineered for high-pressure compressed-gas boost-control strategies, including CO2 drag racing and compressed-air applications.
Unlike a conventional wastegate actuator, the ProGate50 Compressed Gas version uses an inverted diaphragm designed to withstand the large pressure differentials created when high-pressure CO2 or compressed air is applied to the upper chamber. The HP Full Range version supports spring base pressures from 3 PSI up to 26 PSI and includes Turbosmart's complete 3, 5, 7, and 14 PSI spring set for configurable boost-control setups.

Compressed Gas / CO2 Design
The GenV ProGate50 CG uses an inverted diaphragm specifically developed for control systems that apply high pressure to the wastegate's upper chamber. This allows advanced boost-control systems to actively bias the wastegate closed using regulated CO2 or compressed air, providing a broad boost-control range for motorsport applications.
A compatible boost-control system is required when using CO2 control. Turbosmart specifies that the upper chamber requires appropriate pressure control and monitoring when operated in a compressed-gas configuration.
Spring Configuration
The TS-0554-1242 HP Full Range version includes 3 PSI, 5 PSI, 7 PSI, and 14 PSI springs. Different spring combinations can be used to configure the desired mechanical base pressure, with Turbosmart specifying a supported spring base-pressure range from 3 PSI to 26 PSI.

Installation Note
Turbosmart recommends installation by an appropriately qualified technician. Installation may require fabrication or modification to the exhaust manifold. The wastegate should be positioned to promote good exhaust flow and the actuator housing should be kept at least 100mm away from significant heat sources.
For CO2 boost control, use a compatible boost-control system and follow Turbosmart's compressed-gas plumbing instructions. Boost pressure and air/fuel ratio should be verified on a dynamometer after installation or adjustment.
