Wilwood UTV6 Race Front Brake Kit for Select 2016–2023 Polaris RZR

The Wilwood UTV6 Race Front Brake Kit upgrades the front braking system on select 2016–2023 Polaris RZR XP Turbo, Turbo S, and PRO XP models. Developed for higher-powered UTVs, this system combines forged six-piston calipers, BP-28 high-friction brake pads, and larger dynamically mounted rotors to increase braking torque, improve pedal feel, and manage the demands of aggressive off-road driving.

The differential-bore UTV6 calipers use forged aluminum bodies to reduce deflection and promote more uniform pad engagement. The 11.25-inch solid steel rotors are dynamically mounted to help reduce thermal stress and minimize piston knockback caused by rough terrain.

This kit is designed for factory disc spindles and OEM wheel hubs. Fitment must be rechecked when the vehicle has aftermarket hubs, spindles, uprights, suspension components, wheel studs, brake lines, or wheels.

Wheel diameter alone does not guarantee clearance. Compare the intended wheel with Wilwood’s wheel-clearance diagram before ordering. A minimum of 0.080 inch clearance must be maintained between the caliper and wheel in all areas.

Recommended Use

This race-oriented brake kit is recommended for higher-powered Polaris RZR models used in aggressive trail driving, desert racing, competition, or other demanding off-road conditions where increased braking torque, improved pedal response, and resistance to rough-terrain piston knockback are desired.

The BP-28 high-friction pad compound is intended for performance and race use. Proper brake temperature, bedding, inspection, and maintenance are important for consistent operation.

Brake flex lines, brake fluid, OEM wheel hubs, wheel studs, wheels, and installation tools are not included. Wilwood specifies that the kit is designed to reuse the stock OEM wheel studs; aftermarket wheel studs may not be compatible.

Installation

Installation requires removal of the original front calipers, hubs, and rotors. The OEM wheel studs must be pressed out so the supplied rotor adapters can be installed, after which the OEM studs are pressed back through the adapters and factory hubs.

The Wilwood calipers use an M10 x 1.25 brake-line inlet rather than the original M10 x 1.00 inlet. Use the new banjo bolts and crush washers supplied with the kit—do not reuse the factory banjo bolts.

Verify wheel and suspension clearance through the complete range of steering and suspension movement. The brake system must be properly bled, inspected for leaks, tested at low speed, and bedded according to Wilwood’s instructions before normal or competition operation.

Brake installation affects a critical vehicle safety system. Wilwood specifies that installation should only be performed by someone experienced in disc-brake installation and operation.
