Installation

Installation uses the two factory mounting points beside the passenger-side tailgate hinge. A 3/8-inch ratchet with a 10 mm socket and a 1/4-inch driver or ratchet that accepts the supplied security bit are required.

Remove only the two factory mounting bolts used to secure the protector. Install the supplied washers and security bolts, then tighten both bolts until the plate sits flat and secure. Do not over-tighten. Keep the supplied security bit in a safe location because it is required for future removal.
