PERRIN High-Lift Hood Brackets allow the hood on compatible Subaru WRX and WRX STI models to open higher than its original position. The increased opening angle provides additional room and improved lighting around the engine compartment during maintenance, inspection, and performance-part installation.
These brackets retain the factory hood-support system while repositioning its mounting points. The black anodized, CNC-machined aluminum construction provides a clean appearance and durable replacement for the original bracket arrangement.

There is no 2022–2026 Subaru WRX STI application. PERRIN’s combined product-page heading uses “WRX, STI,” but the applicable STI production range ends with the 2021 model year.
Confirm the vehicle year, model, hood, hood hinges, and factory hood-support configuration before ordering. Compatibility with aftermarket hoods, hinges, hood struts, or modified mounting points is not guaranteed.
High-Lift Design
Opening the hood farther provides more space between the hood and engine compartment, making it easier to reach components near the rear of the engine bay. The additional clearance can be especially useful when servicing the intercooler, firewall area, engine accessories, wiring, fluid systems, or other components beneath the hood.
The brackets do not add horsepower or change vehicle handling. Their purpose is to improve engine-bay access and working comfort during maintenance and modification.

Installation
Support the hood securely before loosening or removing any factory hood-support or hinge-related hardware. Install the brackets according to PERRIN’s instructions, working carefully to prevent the hood from shifting or falling during installation.
After installation, slowly move the hood through its complete range of travel. Confirm that the hood, brackets, support components, windshield area, cowl, wiring, hoses, and surrounding parts have adequate clearance and do not bind or contact one another.
Close the hood carefully the first time and verify proper alignment and latch engagement before driving. Do not operate the vehicle if the hood does not close, latch, or release normally.
