Wilwood Forged DPHA 4-Piston Front Caliper Kit – Competition Blue, Honda/Acura 262mm Rotor

The Competition Blue Wilwood Forged DPHA Front Caliper Kit upgrades compatible Honda and Acura braking systems with forged four-piston calipers while retaining the factory-size 262 mm front rotors. The DPHA calipers mount directly to the original mounting points on factory 262 mm disc-brake spindles, providing a straightforward caliper-and-pad upgrade without converting to larger rotors.

Each forged caliper features four stainless-steel pistons for balanced brake-pad loading, corrosion resistance, and reduced heat transfer into the brake fluid. The included Wilwood BP-10 brake pads provide smooth engagement, predictable response, and street-performance braking characteristics.

The distinctive Competition Blue powder-coated finish is designed to withstand high brake temperatures and exposure to brake fluid while providing a highly visible appearance behind the wheels. The kit works with the applicable factory master cylinder and ABS system and accepts the original-style brake-hose connection.

Fitment

This kit requires factory disc-brake spindles originally designed for 262 mm or 10.32-inch front rotors. It will not fit factory 240 mm rotor spindles, even when those spindles have been modified or converted to use 262 mm rotors. The caliper mounting-point height differs between the two spindle configurations.

Confirm that the vehicle has factory-style disc-brake spindles designed for a 262 mm front rotor. Wheel and Rotor Requirements

A minimum 15-inch wheel diameter is required, but this kit will not necessarily clear every factory or aftermarket 15-inch wheel. Wilwood states that the DPHA caliper clears many factory aluminum wheels, including the original 15-inch wheel used on the 1999–2000 Civic Si EM1.

Wheel-spoke profile, barrel shape, diameter, and offset must be checked against Wilwood’s wheel-clearance diagram before installation. A minimum clearance of 0.080 inch must be maintained between the caliper and wheel in all areas. Wheel spacers or wheels with a different offset may be required in some applications.

The existing 262 mm rotors may be retained only when they remain within the manufacturer’s service limits and show no excessive scoring, cracking, heat damage, or other unsafe wear. Replacement rotors are not included.

Recommended Use

Recommended for compatible street and performance Honda or Acura applications where four-piston braking response, improved caliper rigidity, and a highly visible Competition Blue finish are desired without converting to a larger front rotor.

Installation

Installation should be completed by someone experienced with hydraulic disc-brake systems. Inspect the factory spindles, hubs, wheel bearings, rotors, brake hoses, and caliper mounting surfaces before assembly.

Verify wheel clearance before removing or modifying components. Install the calipers, pads, mounting hardware, brake hoses, and sealing washers according to Wilwood’s instructions. Completely bleed the brake system using fresh, compatible brake fluid.

After installation, confirm that the brake pedal remains firm, inspect all connections for leakage, and make certain the wheels rotate freely without contacting the calipers. Complete Wilwood’s prescribed low-speed safety test and brake-pad bedding procedure before normal road use. Never drive a vehicle with untested brakes.
