Wilwood Forged DPHA 4-Piston Front Caliper Kit – Red, Honda/Acura 262mm Rotor

The Wilwood Forged DPHA Front Caliper Kit upgrades compatible Honda and Acura braking systems with forged four-piston calipers while retaining the vehicle’s factory-size 262 mm front rotors. The calipers bolt directly to the original caliper mounting points on factory 262 mm disc-brake spindles, eliminating the need for separate caliper brackets or a larger-rotor conversion.

Each forged DPHA caliper uses four stainless-steel pistons to provide balanced pad loading, corrosion resistance, and reduced heat transfer into the brake fluid. The included Wilwood BP-10 brake pads provide predictable street-performance braking with smooth engagement and consistent response.

This red powder-coated kit is designed to work with the compatible original master cylinder and ABS system. It also accepts the original-style brake hose connection, although Wilwood recommends replacing older rubber hoses with suitable stainless-steel braided brake hoses.

Fitment

This kit requires factory disc-brake spindles originally designed for 262 mm or 10.32-inch front rotors. It will not fit a vehicle with 240 mm rotor spindles merely because 262 mm rotors were later installed. The 240 mm spindle has lower caliper mounting points and is not compatible with this kit.

Wheel and Rotor Requirements

A minimum 15-inch wheel diameter is required, but the kit will not necessarily clear every factory or aftermarket 15-inch wheel. Wilwood states that it clears many factory aluminum wheels, including the 1999–2000 Civic Si EM1 15-inch wheel. Wheel spoke shape, offset, and barrel clearance must still be checked against Wilwood’s wheel-clearance diagram before installation.

A minimum clearance of 0.080 inch must be maintained between the caliper and wheel in all areas. Wheel spacers or wheels with a different offset may be required in some applications.

The existing 262 mm rotors may be reused only if they remain within the manufacturer’s service limits and are free of excessive wear, cracking, scoring, or other damage. Replacement rotors are not included.

Installation

Professional installation by someone experienced with hydraulic disc-brake systems is strongly recommended. Inspect the factory spindles, wheel bearings, hubs, rotors, brake hoses, and mounting surfaces before assembly.

Confirm wheel clearance before removing or modifying any components. Install the calipers and brake pads according to Wilwood’s instructions, connect the brake hoses using the supplied banjo bolts and new sealing washers, and bleed the brake system completely with suitable fresh brake fluid.

After installation, verify that the brake pedal remains firm, inspect every connection for leakage, and confirm that the wheels rotate without contacting the calipers. Perform Wilwood’s low-speed brake test and prescribed brake-pad bedding procedure before normal road use. Never operate the vehicle with untested brakes.
